Partnerships

Our independent student-run platforms have engaged, provoked, inspired, and connected the University of Utah community since 1890. We run The Daily Utah Chronicle, Wasatch Magazine, K-UTE Radio, U Stories, View From the U and Geekwave – providing an experiential learning laboratory for students passionate about journalism, entertainment, design, advertising, marketing, and more.

In July 2021, the advertising and business operations of Student Media merged with Auxiliary Business Development. However, all platforms remain student-led and editorially independent, reporting to a Student Media Council which consists of students, faculty and media professionals. Student Media’s joint operation with Auxiliary Business Development helps build a sustainable future for our platforms and supports our mission to educate students and serve the campus community.
